I'm the head of customer support for a small online retail company (They call me the head, but I'm literally the only one). I could really use some advice. I'm in charge of all of the company's emails, calls, chargebacks, shipment errors, and returns. I was told it was going to be less than 20hrs a week, but I work an avg of 40hrs a week. I'm getting paid 24k a year. This is my first Customer Service job, so I have no idea what the pay should be for this type of job. Am I being underpaid?

Where do you live?

That's pretty low. Most US call center reps probably make at least $15 per hour. If you're working 40 hours weekly, you're closer to $12. If the company is giving you some decent benefits (health insurance, etc.) that might make it a little better, but if not, I would try leveraging your experience into getting a better paying gig.

smart

Depends where u live bruh

20 hrs per week is Part-time, 40 hours is Full-time. Considerable difference. You should be receiving benefits for certain. The Rate of pay depends upon where you're located.
