I loooove my cats
I have a gray and white cat that looks so similar to yours!
No, cats are wonderful if they like you, but mostly self-sufficient enough to hang out by themselves. They do need attention still though!
I have two cats and a dog. Cats are definitely less work - you don’t have to take off work early to let them out - but they do need attention, and can get lonely if left along for a long time. Counterintuitively, sometimes two cats are easier than one, since they can keep each other company and play while you are away.
Agree if you get two cats together they’ll usually hang out and play with each other
I got one in the last year and it has been great. The perfect pet for someone in public accounting, I think.
Also, cat pee smells so bad.
To be fair, so do dog pee and human pee.
I have a cat and I think it’s a great pet for someone in a busy job. I don’t feel guilty going to a happy hour right after work either, it’s not like you need to let them out every few hours
All I’m saying is don’t settle. If you love dogs and get a cat, you will probably be disappointed. Unless you’ve realigned your expectations. Maybe just wait until you can take care of a dog since it’s a 15 year commitment and you should have what you really want :) I used to think about getting a cat for the same reason, but I waited until life slowed down a little and just got a new puppy. Absolutely no regrets. But again, this may not be the case for you.
My cat has been my lifesaver!
Get two, they will keep each other company if you have to travel.
I love my cats, great for my mental health, got me through some very dark times
Realize this is a very old post, but I adopted a cat and couldn’t be happier. I’m now officially a cat person rather than a dog person.
I love this
Cats are liiiiiiife
