I'm tired of spending hours scrolling through job boards only to find the same few roles over and over. LinkedIn feels like a lost cause with how many people apply to every single post. ZipRecruiter is currently my top choice for new leads, but I am curious if there are better places to look. Where are you seeing the most relevant openings right now without having to dig through a ton of junk?

Also, what job boards actually show real jobs vs ghost jobs?

like

They still do show real jobs, just need to do more research to find out if it’s real or not.

I have a spreadsheet where I track resumes I send in, vs sources of those jobs. LinkedIn is still #1, followed by ZipRecruiter and Indeed. After that, it's a matter of what you want, and questions like, are you willing to relocate? Use a couple of AI's to make sure your resume is beating the ATS. Get that resume up on recruiter sites. You won't hear back from most of them (which is depressing) but recruiters check their internal databases first. And just accept that the job market is pretty brutal for 'office' work. nobody's laying off warehouse workers and truck drivers.

This is 10000% true. It’s disheartening applying for a job only to see it as another posting on LinkedIn or some other online portal. It really does my head in

I’m interviewing for a start up and the role sounds interesting. Usually for the “test” part of the interview I’ve had to analyze data. This company wants me to develop a growth strategy that outlines key initiatives for growth, different opportunities, experiments I’d run, KPIs, and working cross-functionally.

Is this a lot for an interview?

I’m a little afraid of doing all this work to then just have them take my ideas and not hire me.

Very specific to retail and/or hospitality in-house roles: has anyone found a good solution for predictive scheduling? Our retail division has one set of software for scheduling and one for payroll, and neither of them can handle predictive scheduling compliance issues unless they’re used for both the scheduling and payroll functions. I’m coming up empty on ideas for them to bridge the gap, but I’m also new to my compliance counsel role, so I would be overjoyed if anyone has suggestions.

Hey Accenture India any openings for java, i have around 9+ yrs of experience and currently working as project manager at CTS, I am an ex employee of Accenture.

A good friend of mine graduated from Parsons this past summer, has degrees in Journalism and French, is a talented photographer and designer (which I feel I have a pretty decent eye for after working at a design-driven branding agency for half a decade). And I’m certain she’d make a fabulous junior AD or content strategist. Unfortunately she, like many in this pandemic, is still without a job. Any advice for her and/or shops/hiring managers/non-traditional job hunt tips to steer her towards?

Best place to get pre-qualified for a mortgage?

I have some collections on my credit report. One from an electric company for $800 (imo they violated terms of contract and sent me to collections in spite of their fuck up), and an apartment for $80~ that charged me a cleaning fee when my apartment was spotless.

Despite these two collections have a 712-720 credit score.

So mortgage lenders care at all about the collections or is it mostly the credit score that matters?
