In a normal year, what’s the ballpark comp of a manager in EY vs. PwC broken down by base salary and bonus? Consulting practice specializing in life sciences

160k is a good salary for M level and 10 yoe. It tracks to where most big 4 base comps are. I agree that typical bonus payouts are more in the 3-12% bracket, even though many will tout the range to be up to 30 or even 40%.

likesmarthelpful

M2 at EY in FSO 126k with an average 4-6% bonus. Was offered M at PWC $158 + 20k sign on and a range of 10-15% bonus. But keep in mind at PWC, they have an SM level which is equivalent to an M3-M5 at EY then director which is equivalent to EYs SM.

PwC has a cohort salary model so you get underpaid equally with all your peers. D and EY are where the moneys at regarding B4

I left D to Ey and went from 112k to 145k S3. Job hop. 5 yoe

EY PWC DELOITTE KPMG. ITS ALL THE SAME. HIGH PERFORMERS GET PAID.

business consulting, tier 2 city. basically was approached by a recruiter and they said it’s about 160 base and 29% bonus...are bonuses generally that much larger than ey?

like

29% is midpoint for top bonus bracket at S&. 29% is the top of the top bonus bracket for Managers at PwC from what I remember. As S&1 said, people actually do get it.

Just received an email from a PwC recruiter below. Internal services marketing doesn't pay great compared to other posts I see on Fishbowl. I appreciate the directness regarding salary though!

By not being open to negotiating they are severely limiting their talent pool. By being open to negotiating they will pay higher for some people lower for others and it’ll balance out. Not a smart move.

Is this business or tech consulting? HCOL?

Started at firm in second week of March and am at 1,700 right now, on pace for 2,000+. M&A 7th year. Who else is this busy? Keep reading M&A down across the board, but not feeling it here…

Obviously love the job security, but am at lockstep bonus firm and pretty sure at this point bonus will be on base scale last year, so kinda bummed about that.

PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.

In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?
