In case anyone needs to hear this: if a recruiter asks you what your current salary is and you don’t share it and they ask you why and tell you it’s so they have your best interests in mind, that’s certainly not the case. It’s usually the exact opposite - they want to cap your desired salary for that role by using your current salary as a reference point that works against you.

Any advice for an experienced HR professional with SHRM-SCP? I was downsized from my last job as a VP of Admin wanted to go with Coordinator/Assistant structure. So, a spot I made (concept to completion) got shelved due to COVID forcing the client’s marketing plan to change. During that time, my partner and I were laid off. Recently, the spot aired, but the agency credits a different team for the work – me, my parter, and my CDs aren’t listed. Do I ask the agency to correct it? Just throw it in my book with explanation? Just take the L and chalk it up to that being how the industry is?
