How much yearly hike can one expect at Société Générale ?
"Depends on performance" seems to be a very vague answer.
Can someone please elaborate on a better answer.
Also, Can someone shed some light on promotions?
Is there any policy, like you have to work for X years to be eligible for promotion etc.
Thanks in advance.

Anyone know the raise amounts for BCG yet?

I have a couple of questions for ZS fishes-
1. Is it possible to turn down a promotion at ZS? I'm currently happy with my responsibilities as a Decision Analytics Consultant and don't want any added responsibilities in the near future (next 5 years)
2. Is it possible to shape up a career path in the BC stream which doesn't involve business development? I don't want to get into working on SOWs and RFPs.

I half agree. Reason being, loudest yes person vs loudest “risk sharing”
So when you say visibility, what do you mean? Do you mean in your role you interact with a lot of different levels of people or do you mean no matter your role you’re going to find the person that you feel is the right one to brown nose too? Because I’ve seen both.
True visibility is absolutely necessary in order to move up and or get the right people behind you. Brown nosing does do something, I don’t know whether that’s just promotions or pay increases or what.
I dont think it’s about being “loud” exactly. Employees who are speaking at these meetings are probably making good points and are engaging in the correct kind of conversations to help the company move forward and make good improvements to increase the bottom line in the end. Yes, it’s about being seen, but you must be seen by providing good quality content and discussions. Can’t just be loud and talk just for the sake of talking. Can’t really fake that for long because eventually people and good leaders will see through it and they will know you’re not actually providing real value. So yes, be “loud” and be “seen,” but make sure you’re providing real value
I do agree with Manager 1. I don't think it is necessarily because they are the loudest people in the room. Visibility does make a difference, but it is usually because you are doing the right things to be seen.
