I can’t help but feel stuck in my career. I’m a licensed attorney in another country, but been working as a law clerk in a firm for about a year now. I was hoping to take the NY bar in February but the foreign law graduate restrictions won’t allow. Now, I have to wait till July! I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me.
