I wouldn't take it. A lot can change in one year and you will of course be compared with existing folks who most likely are better placed with in the organization.
I would be so skeptical of that offer, get the terms of your consideration for manager in writing.
Oh with that as context I would say go for it OP. 20% bonus is nothing to shake a stick at, and with the added bonus of escaping PwC when you know you won’t be up next year.
Go for it, but still try to get as much info regarding consideration for manager next year in writing.
FWIW I left pwc under similar circumstances last year and the grass is definitely greener.
Will definitely get a bump if you get promoted. Our bonuses are absolutely atrocious but our bases tend to be above average in my experience.
Are you currently a manager or up for promotion this year? If you’re up for promotion, I’d wait until you’re promoted so you’ve got a lock on it. If you’re already manager, I’d seriously question why they don’t want to bring you in at the same level. Seems like a dick move until there’s a skill gap there ....
I share your skepticism, but I come out ahead 20%~ in comp even if I miss manager next year.
I'm just wondering that since I'm already ahead of what I see their first year manager in comp is if I'll see any real promo bump.
I've also been told I won't be considered for manager at PwC next year so even if this is not what I wanted it's still a net gain IMO.
Not a manager, kinda got stiffed in my yearly review @ Acc1
D1 agreed, given them saying I'm "maxed out" at senior I am anticipated Coft of living only if I don't get manager.
That being said should I expect a real bump if I do get promoted next year or just a token one? I think I'm happy either way but want to have accurate expectations going in.
I would expect COLA if you remain at senior and probably a bump if you make it to manager. And if you don’t get a bump, you’ll have spent a year at one firm and officially have the title for elsewhere 🤙🏻
What practice is it? I am senior expecting to be manager this year. I am not even making 90 right now.
EY2 a specialized TC group. Regardless 90 sounds really low for Senior making manager. I know PwC pays a lot lower for public sector/audit positions, maybe that's the same at EY?
If you are at the max salary then no. They won't bump u much. They will stay in the bands. It really depends on if you want the money or the title.
Why are you not considered d for manager at Pwc?
Strong pay for Senior then expect maybe a $10k total bonus when getting promoted plus probably an 8-10% annual increase .
@OP, EY1 is right.
