Larsen & Toubro Infotech Hi Everyone,

How many years of experience does Cognizant consider in order to give "Associate" role?

What’s a good side hustle ?
It’s time for me to move on from my back office/CBS job at EY. I’ve been able to get through to recruiter and hiring manager screening round with FAANG employers and some tech companies but never beyond that. How can I differentiate myself when I’m probably also up against our client facing colleagues in consulting. I have about 12 years experience (7 at EY doing the same thing).

Run. Nothing worse than joining a organization that doesn’t respect you from the moment you step in the door.

“Okay, Boomer”
That’s rude and ageist. How would she like it if you said well you’re too old for your position - there seems to be an issue with people your age keeping pace with change and remembering things.
SM3, okay older middle aged people and seniors if that makes you feel better

“Well you’ll be gone so 🤷🏻♂️”
‘you’re very old and there seems to be an issue with old people and causing superfluous wars and financial crises.’

Just end the interview or ask why they scheduled it if they weren't going to hire lower tenure folks
Run in the other direction. Was basically told the same thing by a start-up CFO, that I was “too young to be making $110k” (2 YOE) so that was the end of the interview. Came back to me 2 weeks later when they couldn’t find someone with the same experience and declined. I would have accepted the role if the CFO had not made the “too young” comment. Blew my mind

"I'm glad I won't be working with you when I get the job"
Either way it's not smart of the company to ask someone to interview their replacement
Assuming you do work hard. I would reply that there is no question about my work ethic and you can talk to any past colleagues. What I think is more important is my ability to work smartly and I instill that in my teams.
"My past track record shows that I delivered results by doing whatever it takes to succeed"
It's kind of a trap and no need to directly confront her. If it were me I would focus on what I brought to the table that would help the company. If I can get my job done in 10 hours by focusing on the most important issues and did it with new technologies, new ideas, new teams etc. , how would working 15 hours a day help the company?
The other consideration is if you’re going to be the CEO, this is a Q you need to be able to answer because your team members, suppliers and customers may think it. I almost see it as a test...tell me how this doesn’t apply. I would say something along the lines of “I’m here at this age because I have a very strong work ethic, as my experience would demonstrate”.
She is just salty that she is leaving.

Well that’s illegal age based discrimination but sadly not much you can do about it unless you’re willing to make a big Sri k with their HR (seems dubious it would get you the job)
Age discrimination is actually only on the other end of the perspective, at least from a legal standpoint. Discrimination laws only kick-in age 40 and older.
My primary concern is that she has influence over the hiring process with the board. While I am replacing her, she's retiring and held in high esteem as far as I know.
