Interviewed for Deloitte Tech Strategy SC and got a verbal offer for Consultant instead. I negotiated the offer to 120K salary and 10K signing bonus. I’m a boomerang with 4 years ERP consulting but this past year I’ve been doing DEI Consulting. Spoke with former colleagues who rejoined Deloitte and got much higher offers for SC. How do I go back to the recruiter to negotiate further? I suggested that I’d probably sign but needed time to think. Now I’d like to go back and request 140k salary.

Currently making $75k, which is very low compared to my counterparts. However, in February I’m supposed to get a salary adjustment with my yearly review. I got a job offer for $120k-150k which I turned down cuz I want to stay at Adobe.

How/when do I use this to leverage a good salary adjustment in Feb?

I’ve been at my clerkship for 5 years (4 with a different judge) and one with my current judge, and I heard horrible things about him before starting, but I assumed they were exaggerated. Turns out they’re all true, and I’ve had to start therapy to deal with him and the incredibly toxic environment. How much stock do you put on benefits? I have two offers with stark differences in benefits. Job 1: role I want, but benefit sucks (2 weeks paternity leave, 20% coinsurance). Job 2: role is okay but higher level and great benefits (16 weeks paternity, 0% coinsurance, 5 more days of vacation). Total comp is the same though. I wonder if I should just focus on role but Job 2 is a large company, so I can move around after 2-3 years I’d expect. Thoughts?

That was on September 9th. I sent a thank you followup email the next day with letters of recommendation like I had mentioned in our conversation. Phone addiction. I truly feel like I have one now and I hate it. Is anyone feeling the same or possibly improved your phone addition? I am constantly on my phone and my usage is averaging 5.5 hours per day. I wake up to my phone and it's the last thing I see before bed. On it between meetings and any moment that I don't have to be focused. I will say that my phone doesn't get touched when I'm with people. Almost at all. It is a cycle of insta, snap, and FB. With LinkedIn and this in between.

I’m filling out my background check for my Deloitte offer. Is the professional career start date the date I started my job after college or literally the date I had my first job (if it’s in the 25 years Deloitte asks about)?

My security clearance asks for 10 years but nothing before 18, and it seems weird if Deloitte wants to know high school jobs.
