Solid companies in the EU that hire entry level product managers from an MBA? I have a finance background in a tech start up, and I’m polishing my Python and SQL skills. Visited a few tech companies in Amsterdam (Booking.com, TomTom, etc) and I was wondering if there are any well known opportunities or programs.

Is 95k salary low for a 35 year old (DC area)?

Yes. I'm assuming you work in Federal consulting, but even so you are at least 25-30% underpaid
I was making that 4 years out of undergrad at Deloitte as an SC as an FYI
150 absolute minimum but you should be targeting around 200 for total comp. Breakdown of salary/bonus/equity will depend on the firm you’re talking with.
Are you an associate with 10 YOE?
Are you at BAH? Do you have a clearance?
Probably underpaid to some extent but it really depends on the specifics of YOUR background and experience. Some people work 40 years and make less than you do now. People responding you should be “AT LEAST 150 and maybe 200” etc etc are making comparisons to their own trajectories but MAY not be grounding it in YOUR history.
I suspect your experience “with a small company” isn’t being counted in your favor. I am in a similar situation insofar as I had 3 ~ 5 years of unrelated experience when I was younger, that isn’t really part of my “tenure” in this industry. You can let me know if this is a fair assumption for you also?
Looks like you’re a M equivalent at a non-target firm with a non-target degree. NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT, we just need to set the right expectation here. From this perspective I’d say $100k is on the low end, but at the same time I can guarantee my firm has Managers in certain functions making similar, so you may not be *statistically significantly* off base. That said, making a competitive move in the job market will almost certainly give you a bump to a figure you’re more personally comfortable with, if you can pull it off.
Good luck with your interviews.
Is that total comp? If so yeah definitely almost there with 2 YOE and none of that and I live in a small town in Michigan lol
Yes
I have seven years out of undergrad, and in analytics I make 160k base as a third year manager. You are seriously underpaid.
What's your bonus? What's director1 pay in your group?
Yes
Yes. You should be about $20-25k higher
Thank you. What would be an appropriate amount to target? I’m actively interviewing this week with KPMG, GDIT, and Facebook in the DC area, and would like to ask for the right amount if asked about salary expectations
The numbers I gave, are to the best of my knowledge, accurate for federal. The high side may be a bit over but I’m nearer the top than the bottom w/8yoe and in Fed.
It really depends on what you do. You mentioned a master’s and a PMP, but what’s your actual role?
