Yes.
Very good. Some would even say high.
That's great OP! Good luck on the interview!!
I’d say on par for cleared roles within gov consulting, firms definitely pay a premium for candidates who are already cleared
Dang data scientist at 3.5 years of experience. It makes me question my career path.
I majored in it which helps

what are your skills? what languages do you know? which programs do you know well? Currently studying a masters in data science but my background is business
Mainly Python and SQL, some R and Tableau. Passing the first round technical take home assessment I'd say is the hardest part since they usually want a full implementation in a timed setting (surprisingly BAH doesn't have one). In the interviews be able to talk about imbalanced classes, regularization, bayesian hyperparameter tuning, XGBoost/LightGBM vs simple models, to name a few things. If you can I would also learn about ai/ml ops like actually putting models into production which is an area I'm lacking.
damn congrats! where is this? i have double the yoe and i’m only close to 150
wow fr tho good for you! that’s a great salary esp at that yoe. i’m curious to see if the comp is higher bc of clearance too
Yes, they wouldn’t give me that offer a few years ago either similar specs, I had to go as a subcontractor.
Definitely good for BAH. They’re stingy with raises so it’s good to come in at a salary you’re happy with.
They pretty much lied about the role. Senior data scientist but no predictive modeling, purely data engineering... wouldn't even take it for more money
