What was the rationale behind increasing manager utilization targets?

What are expected utilization goal at each level ? I have been at two levels in deloitte and I saw

Consultant: 95%
Senior Consultant: 90%

Hadn’t noticed this sub before, and most of the threads are old so thought I’d ask a follow up - how has everyone been handling parenting with public accounting? I’ve got a toddler and my wife is an accountant (industry), and we only have a few immediate family in the country- but they have health concerns. Busy season was rough, things are looking better now as things return to normal. Still working crazy hours if you count the daycare duties on top of utilization targets.

Just put in my notice at my current job to come to usdc. It sucked because I actually like the people I work with and the job I do. However, the job I do is not what I want to do forever nor does it focus on my educational background and aspirations. I am taking a leap of faith and going to see what Deloitte USDC is about. After much reading and research I have tons of mixed emotions about this. Here’s to a new beginning!

SA here with 2 years at D, will anything happen to me if I keep rejecting projects for an “ideal” one?

I’m a campus hire- on day 24 at Deloitte. Should I be concerned I’m not staffed? I have nothing to do but certification and learning. It’s getting a bit old. And my RM doesn’t respond to my chats or meetings.

I got a promotion this year and did not receive any pay raise and my bonus was the same as last year (a mere 2%). I tried to have a conversation my leadership about the situation but they have not entertained my request so far. And then I hear the Core got pay raises from 8-22%. I think it is totally unfair how USDC taking all the hit from Covid while Core reaping the benefit of our hard work as well. USDC Leadership has failed us time and time again
