More money for less responsibility? Seems like a win to me.
Reminds me of a very seasoned guy I worked with years ago who used to be a senior director and then came to the same org as an independent consultant. He said, "if the client doesn't want to listen to me and asks me to just wipe a desk for the $200/hr they pay me, I have no problem."
At the right price, you can call me whatever you like

I believe it’s pronounced “have your way with me”
What does that even mean? Titles are not equivalent even within a company, never mind across.
Is this even a real question? Titles won’t buy you financial security in life. You can start your own company, call yourself founder, ceo, managing director etc and not sell anything and thus have no income. Would that be better?
Higher comp for lower title usually means you are going to a more prestigious firm or more premium line of business. If that is the case, jump.

It depends, will 30% really change your lifestyle? There was a time when it was true for me, but that doesn't change much for me now.
D2 well once ChatGPT replaces all jobs we can all be called unemployed and maybe ask for UBI from our A.I. overlords. Won't matter what you are called then. 😆

I have a friend who moved from a tech firm to FAANG for 2x the salary and I can see he’s starting to step back a little in terms of his drive and aspirations. Almost like his role disappointed him out of his career.
Reduced title implies reduced influence and some people may struggle with that. Ask yourself what matters to you; if you’re a seasoned professional you may struggle if you’re running against a younger, less experienced demographic.
Call me monkey 🙉
Longer term you can check with some professional resume consultants how they craft language to explain a title disconnect
Doesn’t matter what you are called if you enjoy the work and the team
More money, less work is always good
Just don't call me late for dinner
Yes - you can call me whatever you want for 30% more
Is it a change of title along with more responsibilities and expectations? Like do they expect you to be an absolute guru at one level below? That’s what would worry me.
Probably equal level of expectations / responsibilities IMO
