More money for less responsibility? Seems like a win to me.
Reminds me of a very seasoned guy I worked with years ago who used to be a senior director and then came to the same org as an independent consultant. He said, "if the client doesn't want to listen to me and asks me to just wipe a desk for the $200/hr they pay me, I have no problem."

I believe it’s pronounced “have your way with me”
Do you work for your title or for your $$$?

Manager investment banking is pretty junior, so I wouldn’t think twice
Titles don't mean anything. Levels and titles are drastically different across orgs. Look at the comp, role, and responsibilities. Don't think I'd consider a demotion with a pay raise unless it was to gain very specific knowledge or experience that would better benefit me in 2+ years
Keep the checks rolling, call me Sally if you want!
Can’t buy a Lambo with a title.

VP at Capgemini is a Partner. Sooooo.
Title means nothing, job duty, responsibility, and revenue generated is the only thing that matters - at least in the US.

You can call me senior dipshit if the pay is right
Only if you’re crossing industries with higher potential. Within an industry with established titles it will have a significant impact on lateral moves in the future and promotions within.
If it’s a high potential career path, go for it. Be patient and play the long game. The days of 20-something startup CEOs are over, don’t let it get to you. To go far, you need good fundamentals.
Hell yeah! If even a lower role at the new firm pays more, that means much more topside $$ potential later on in your career too
You can put whatever title you want on LinkedIn. So take the money.
Titles are like balloons.
Sounds good, also more upward mobility!
If the money is right who cares?
