Yes. You might get dinged on the outfit alone. I’m serious.

like

Hahahahaha omg I did get dinged on the outfit alone as a female big law attorney 😂 Because otherwise my interview was great

If you want to be conservative, you can wear a suit but definitely drop the tie.

Otherwise a dress shirt without a tie would be fine too

like

lmao, i wore a suit and tie and got the job. the rest of the others are trying to screw u over

funny

I’ll risk not giving off the right vibe over coming off too informal and underdressed.

funny

Yes

What is the ideal outfit then?

100%. Do not wear a suit. Do not wear a tie. Nice shirt is sufficient.

You can dress on the more formal side. But suit and tie is just too formal.

Hi guys currently I'm working in a project with very stringent timelines. Sometimes we need to put more than 13-14 hrs each day. There are 4 members in my team. Two are involved in database prt and me and my lead are involved in the front end and middle layer prt. Somehow my lead is not at all pleased with my work. And even if I try to talk to him for something he is completely rude. Sometimes it makes me that I m completely useless. Even the other team members are following the lead

Additional Posts in In-House Counsel

Starting a new position in a few weeks and have an opportunity to speak with my future boss before starting. Is there anything I should ask before starting that wouldn’t already have been covered in the interview? I was thinking about asking if I should read up on anything before starting, but I also don’t want to impose obligations on myself if I don’t have to. Fwiw going from firm to in-house. TIA!

Have interviews set up at FAANG co and getting good signals, for a position that was posted widely (all across US) but not remote. Haven’t broached the subject of location yet.
