You’re expecting comp to tie to a title, which isn’t always a good measure. How many YOE do you bring to the table ?

Unless you’re seeking a technical role (e.g. a software engineer) or a strategy role (Corporate Strategy), you’re likely going to find it challenging to find roles with a TC in that range or more. Typically, industry would pay between 120-180 for that many YOE, plus bonus,10-40%, plus long term incentive. So while you could find a role in the upper end of the spectrum, you may be competing against with those with more YOE than you. You should try startups too, often the total comp can reach or exceed your desired number.

Plenty of director roles in biotech for all in 350 available; 10+ yoe
Ya, I would look at tech- director roles at public tech companies will easily pay $300k+. At bigger companies you are talking $500k-1m....
My experience is similar too.. Directors are at that 220 level
