Is anyone else having this issue? My boss has given us an approved calendar at the beginning of each year giving us the dates we will be closed for holidays. He has been changing it constantly all year deciding we are now opening for certain holidays. This is irritating since we only get two benefits which is Federal/bank holiday’s off and then two weeks paid vacation. I feel like he is trying to drain us due to the fact the company he has a contract with keeps dropping current clients.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

currently tossing up between staying at a global company (who is in the process of some positive changes) with an amazing manager who supports my career and flexible working … however comes with the inherit issues that come with a long standing global company

Has anyone successfully moved out of claims into underwriting? I have been doing worker’s compensation claims for about 9 years now as an adjuster. I would really like to get into underwriting but have not had any success so far. What are some other roles I can transition to?
