I'm in the same boat, especially since I started a new job. I'm excited to see people I know again but the thought of interacting with new people sounds so draining. But I'm also lonely. 🤷♀️
Agree on all fronts.
Yeah, im thinking of having a hard talk with my manager about this. I honestly don't want to come back. And I dont really need to. Im doing some of my best work from the comfort of my own home.
I don’t want to come back 😭I love remote. I love what it did to my person life (commuted long hours no time energy for anything, barely saw my husband) I’m also a lot more efficient working alone in my home office.
My life is so much better working from home and I am more efficient here. I really don’t want to go back to the office. I probably spent four or five hours per day max in the office pre-pandemic. It was an open office where my partner and I had to work through slack anyways (it was the kind of place where managers couldn’t speak frankly out loud without another department taking something out of context and spinning up drama). It was extremely draining. I lived close to the office and could get there in 10 minutes if necessary. I also don’t want to have to keep relocating every time I get a new job. I spent years trying to get back to the small ad-market city I live in now and my family is here. But my new job is in another state. If push comes to shove I may have to quit to salvage my mental health. 🤦🏼♀️
