The government and related entities have started postponing contract awards, while also asking contractors to reprice existing contracts, extend project timelines, or delay project start dates.
Is water wet?
Yes.
Whole consulting industry was built around a tourism + investment era and the instability of the region (even post war) will be impacted. Countries will reassess priorities. There will be less investment in the traditional things as long as risk is high. And of course the oil industries and budgets will take a hit. All of this combined and you have less and less projects.

We said we won’t, but of course, we said the same in December, to then clarify that it will be an “increased attrition”. So don’t expect the firm to be kinder or formally lay off people due to lack of business, but expect increasing downsizing due to business adjustment.
We dont usually do that, times like these is when talent in the market is abundant and we cherry pick hires. We did just announce a hiring freeze internally though but it might be because of the 10 partners we just brought in.
