Hi Fishes, Y.O.E 7.5+ years. Tata Consultancy TCS is offering 25LPA including variable pay and everything. So just 15% increment on my current salary since they mentioned I am leaving my current organization within 1 year.
They mentioned 8-12% is VP plus 80k from that salary is paid at the end of each year. Is it a good enough salary for 7.5+ yoe candidate. Also any heads up for the things I should look out for will be really helpful.

No it is not.
Not at all. In this day and age that’s not a lot of money and my honest opinion is that anyone committing 40 hours of their life per week should make AT LEAST that. I know… I’m an idealist
I don't think so. Your background would be a factor. Are they asking you how much you want? Or are you offered something lower and want to ask for more? Or something else?
They didn't advertised the salary but the application asked for a salary amount. I couldn't put 'open' so I put what I wanted.
Glassdoor will give you a good estimate on what to ask for, based on your location, education, etc…
Yeah but I found that is not too reliable.
45k should be the minimum for entry level. Especially since it takes 120K to buy a home.
From my experience applying to entry level jobs in this city, the employers usually want to pay 35k for entry level and if they are generous they will give you 40k. But yeah rent has been getting high in this city.
Not at all. In fact ask for more . With inflation things are way costly and 45k isn’t enough by any means
I would like to but I think in Houston employers don't want to pay more
Not at all .
I started at 40k and I’m at 75k in 4 years. If you love the company and think they will invest in you long term, then I think it’s worth it.
