Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

No, I mean he was in the NFL but look at Brandon Brooks, did MBA at wharton and interned at GS and will be working there full time if he isn’t already. Dude is like 35/36 now
Not too old but you have to ask yourself if you really want to be grinding 80-100 hours at 34. If you have a family it becomes harder. Also consider that 2nd and 3rd year analysts will be better than you when you first start so you may be taking some direction from 23-24 year olds if that bothers you
This is the right answer.
Short answer is no assuming your school is a feeder and you recruit successfully. Go for it if that’s what you want. It will be a grind and you will be older than a lot of your bosses (which shouldn’t matter, but may for some), but there’s nothing about that age that disqualifies you
Probably too late for that game but you can have other opportunities in another positions that are less stressful and a better WLB
Already in M&A consulting. Just feel like I’d enjoy working with brighter and harder working people.

Nope! It’s not too late. However, most people that age have outside commitments that 20+ year olds don’t.
I agree with everyone in this thread. It is never too late to go back to school and better yourself for a better position. Don't let anyone discourage you from doing so. If its what you want then I say go for it.
