I have received offer from Shell and SAP labs is in final stage salary discussion. Shell is offering 6 lacs more than @SAP labs. I have tried to negotiate a lot from SAP but they are not ready. They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Should I join @SAP considering its a Product based and good WLB and learning? Teck Stack - Java/Micro-services/cloud YOE - 11yrs
Hello guys,
Today I had salary negotiation with Capgemini , they are offering 15 lpa with 10% variable. I feel this is a bit low based on current market standards. I asked for 20 initially, but they are not willing to go beyond 15 without any counter offer. HR flat out rejected 20 saying business will not approve. what is the max they will give after providing counter offer? And if i join around November, when will i be eligible for next appraisal? They are offering c1 band.

I heard about this 'next steps' many times.. sometimes I got selected and sometimes I did not. But here most likely you may have got selected. But timelines is tricky. They may be interviewing other candidates and if that is the case it may be delayed or they will come back much quicker.

"Next steps" is usually a positive sign.
I got the same reply and that was the last time I heard from them. Depends on project requirement and criticality. Keeping in mind the current situation of recession concerns.
I heard more "will come back to you".
that was most on Indian HR context, I was interviewed by PwC US employee
The interviewers are usually told not to give the candidate any positive or negative answer even if they already know. The HR gets the feedback from the interviewer and then the next steps are decided based on that.
Usually at the end of an interview, it is good for a candidate to ask for feedback from the interviewer, that helps in the next round or life in general.
Interviewer told me about the project details, duration and how will be work environment at the end of the interview. I asked about job roles and responsibilities
Same reply about next steps from almost all interviews. Sone moved to next steps and some didn’t. I think it’s better to provide feedback in the interviews itself rather than making us wait anxiously
