This is going to be interesting.
Lol I had almost forgotten how much of a clown show LEK is. Thank you OP for reminding me
it is my responsibility to inform you that you in fact took the bait
Chief
Before absolute memes about the company in this bowl, I thought you were into some kind of plumbing business or boat rentals.
I guess I will never consider a role at LEK
Has to be a former LEKer making a joke about how bad we are.
But do you really hate us who are still at LEK that much to embarrass us like this in public? Isn’t it enough punishment that we still work here.
Rapid growth and expansion is more than a stretch. It's a straight up lie lol. LEK has been struggling just like the rest of the consulting industry
Incorrect LEK2, without doxxing myself I am high up the chain (not partner), and get a lot of visibility into deal flow. We are about to experience a bump that can be described as “explosive” if looking to McKinseys last year of growth (2% in 2024 lol). Again, just shows the resilience of LEK versus more established MBB incumbents.
How is the work-life balance at L.E.K.?
When you do what you love, you don’t work a day in your life
Guys, stop taking the bait
How could any of us know about all three firms' new hires across the board
Got me at “objectively lesser”. I need Americans to know they speak really bad grammar.
We’ve nearly doubled in size over the past ~3 years.
Usually being hired to clean up an MBB mess.
As for MBB talent, it’s a mix of things.
1. MBA talent has also eroded with larger class sizes
2. MBB teams are smaller with tighter timelines, which leaves little to no room for true apprenticeship
3. Covid caused a mass exodus of key talent. Performance layoffs were rampant, killed culture, and the major people developers left in ‘21.
Oooo what messes do they cause
Genuinely curious
What exactly is this point of this post?
We all know why consulting is down—it’s a high-cost, discretionary line item, AI is reshaping how expertise is delivered, and the broader economy isn’t doing us any favors. But OP given your position - high up the chain, I assume this shouldn’t be a surprise?
The point is that LEK is the best consulting company in the world and everyone should want to work here
So are CDDs back? Which sectors?
I only took the bait because I want to believe
Be gentle with me
This is such an odd way to try to pump prestige.
It’s bait 😂
“Elite boutique” lmfao
Just WOW... I've never heard LEK and the word elite in the same sentence before
Except for i know someone who worked at the sweatshop LEK but they saw the light and left for a role at an elite consultancy
