My theory is that I would rather be cautionary and send them than not send and have it cost me the job. Thank you notes go a long way for some people. And yes, before someone says it, I know it’s a candidates market and they should be thanking us for our time, yada yada...
I mean, kind of, but when it comes to getting a job, I don’t mind kissing a bit of ass.
You know what I mean. Just having something sincere to say.
I’ve not hired people I liked because they didn’t send thank you notes. It’s important to a lot of people. Just shows good instincts and the proper way of doing business.
