I see several posts from people asking how they can help during these times with a few extra $$$ to spend. Here is just one of many ideas.

#stepuptothetable is about helping local restaurants who are struggling during these times. I have seen numerous linkedin posts with videos where people challenge each other to step up to the table & buy meals & gift cards from their community restaurants. A great way for those of us who are more fortunate to support business & keep people employed.

Not having to do anything for 90% of the day
WFH has improved the quality of my life in ways I never dreamed of. In the past 19 months I’ve saved tens of thousands of dollars in daily rituals like parking, gas, coffee, lunch, and dry cleaning. I’ve slept hundreds of extra hours. I’ve been given at least a thousand hours of hobby time. I’ve spent irreplaceable time with my kids.
Corporate gifts and stipends? They can’t afford a perk as good as WFH
Agree completely. I watched my oldest daughter take her first steps via text message back in 2018 from a shitty hotel room.
I am grateful that I was actually here to watch my youngest daughter take her first steps in person in late 2020.
Couldn’t care less about the other perks
Well I dont mean to brag or anything, but at the big four we get an email thanking us for our hard work. Isnt a genuine heartfelt thank you worth more than money…
More work at the same salary?🤪

WFH has been a game changer. Never want to go back
$200/mo indefinitely for home office supplies
Gotta get that millennial side hustle money!!

Unlimited home office supply ordering (for consumable items: paper, pens, etc) and $500/year for home office equipment. Free parking if going to the office for the day. Typically the department head buys lunch for everyone that is in the office that day.
For Halloween they sent us a trick or treat bag filled with goodies, so that was fun and unexpected.
Wish they would bring back the rule that if you’re working past 7PM you get dinner on the firm. Might have to ask about this one again as year-end approaches.

Wow!! That’s great
Recharge days. We’ve shut down each of our regions for the day about 7-8 times to give everyone a break
$250 in home office equipment
1 week salary as bonus, $250 for office equipment, access to Talkspace and the Calm app
Huh. I have got exactly nothing except for a lot more done for the company. I now work my commute time daily. I’ve always eaten lunch at my desk or with my team to discuss projects or whatever. I have never taken a WFH nap or gone to the gym during the 7am to 7pm hours that I generally consider to be my work day. I buy my own printer ink, paper, pens, notebooks…there has been no stipend for anything - at least not that is formalized and company wide, there are likely some lower level employees that are getting $$ for better home internet or office supplies, just not me or anyone on my team.
Over the years I have minimized my commute expense to the degree that when we shifted to full WFH I barely saw any savings.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Client side!

Sounds like you need to give yourself breaks then
Nothing but a threat letter to either get an experimental drug or lose your job.
Instead of tasting wines at the office before they are released into inventory, we all get an entire bottle instead since everyone now works from home. That amounts to about a half a case of wine a month on top of the $400-$600 monthly wine allowance. Working a quarter to a third of the previous 45 hour work week for more money doesn’t suck, either.

I get a $1000 well-being subsidy I can blow on 5.56😋
$750 over the course of the year to spend on home office equipment (thank you 34” + 27” ultra wide monitors).
Easily the best perk has been having more free time.
The last two weeks of December as additional paid time off.
I wish we got daily stipends for lunch/dinner. So dumb that we don’t. It’s like the firm WANTS us to leave lmao
Got to buy my own chair and screen and screen stand. Also built a desk. No reimbursement. Quit and got a 100% remote position at a different firm.
Free office parking
