Hi everyone! I am hired as an Analyst - Data Science, and my joining date is 29th July. What can I expect from the role? Also will I have to go to office everyday? American Express
PS- If anyone else is joining on or around the same date, I would love to connect and talk more about it :)
Hi everyone!
I've been offered a job at Publicis Sapient as a front-end developer (React Js).
What kind of work culture, work load and tech stack exposure should I be expecting?
I'm having 1 year experience.
I've also got offers from IndiaMART InterMESH Limited, Amdocs, Verizon and Collegedunia.
All for the role of front-end web developer.
I'm very confused between all of them.

Y’all probably interviewing at the same place 😳
Yes. They are excited to hire someone, but they are out of money for the year. The budget hose gets turned back on in January, so theyre trying to have a decision ready to go. Hope you get it 😃
Yes. It means we are all screwed. If they haven’t agreed on 2020 budgets yet they are cutting.
I’m also in the same situation 🤙🏼
Scopes for this year are being laid down. I’ve been let go this time of year or (Jan 3rd)due to the next year’s scope not being as robust as the previous year. Stupid part is, agencies use this excuse to thin the herd, fully knowing the budgets get readjusted by March or they replace lost revenue in Q1. So they hire all new people for less money.
Yeah I'm aware that bending exclusively to the whims of stockholders is how things *have* been run. Short term gains rather than long term. So shortsighted.
I’m also in the same situation lol

Ha! are you me?
I don’t think it’s unusual to be interviewing now for someone to start immediately after the New Year (I just accepted an offer for a Jan 2 start), however, they should definitely communicate that timing right up front, very first call with HR.
Yup
Agree, normal.
New year, new SOWs, new budgets.
At this point in the year, they are all scrambling to make their numbers for the quarter/year and push costs into 2020.
I feel like if they don’t have it by Thanksgiving it’s gonna be a bad time for everyone, usually
Yes. People forget that we need signed scopes to pay our salaries. Kudos to them for being conservative rather than hiring you on a dream and client not signing it.
