Im someone with a "business" background (supply chain, procurement) that went to work for as a consultant for tech consulting firm after finishing my MBA, but now having trouble finding a project. Got my PSM 1 cert, but not sure what else to do. Not a technical person, never coded. What would you recommend someone in my position to focus on? I'd like to remain on the project management/BA side of the business. TIA!
Considering moving from Capgemini tech consultant role after 2 years, to Program Manager role at a tech company in Bay Area. I think it’d be a step up in responsibilities & exposure. Would that be viewed as progression and a positive move in the eye of the MBA Admission Officers?

1 year vs 2 year mba as a sponsored consultant?
For those that joined consulting post-MBA, do you wish you had started earlier or do you feel it was the right time? 2 years in and wondering if I should commit to another 3 years for B-school...
I’d much prefer a Christmas bonus over a holiday party. Even if it’s $500, I’ve mised, 3 out of the last 4 Christmas party’s (client obligations/ CPA exam) and about to miss another party.
Which HP house is each of the Big 4?
I have always wondered why PwC promotes so much later than other Big 4 firms (3 years to Sr, 3 more to manager). Every answer I've gotten has just been a complete load of shit...
Is it viewed as “not good” to go back to my alma mater for MBA? It’s a top 40 business school and got me into B4 consulting easily. School has strong recruiting presence in the region I want and I have a full ride for their FT program. Appreciate any thoughts!
Anyone here broken into real estate private equity from big 4 consulting? What steps did you take to jump into RE PE? What gaps in knowledge did you have and how did you fill them? Outside of the knowledge gaps what other things do you think you needed in order to get into RE PE?
Anyone went from B4 to SingerLewak? How is the culture there? Just curious. Audit Senior considering move out of EY. Any info is welcome. Thanks
Why does international tax think they are better than everyone else? Is it just the teams I’ve had to work and communicate with or is this the norm?
What would make MBA school worth it to you? On a call now where out of state tuition was $97k… that plus 2 years of lost wages could easily be a $400k price tag. I understand different schools cost different amounts but still wild.
2nd year mgr, two years Big 4 experience, 6 years industry experience; what salary should I ask for from Deloitte S&O - Financial Svcs
Bad work life balance, mediocre pay, low odds of making partner, increasingly long road to partnership, little control over the projects you’re staffed on, independence requirements, this list could go on. Is the Big 4 really worth it... I am increasingly thinking it’s not.
Manager salary ranges at big 4? Name group and location. (Got no response in salary bowl). Specifically looking to see if enough to support fam of 3, possibly 4 (we r trying!) in the NJ area
I have a feeling my Engagement Partner wants me to quit the engagement. It's my 3rd week, but he's been nothing but rude, demeaning and unhelpful. Refuses to answer any of my questions and then berates and belittles me for not knowing the answers. He already threatened to "replace" me if I don't show adequate progress. Roll off voluntarily or wait until he fires me?
Would jumping from D, ACN, pwc, Booz, etc to ATK, OW, Lek, marak, etc. help your MBA admissions?
Has anyone in the WPP network been promised a promotion/raise and then suffered through the annual Q4 “cash push” freeze? Did you finally get it in Q1? If so, when? Was it worth the wait?
I’ve been proposed an exit as Product Owner at a real company, not a consulting one. Staff seems nice, good culture, good salary (less than consulting but well), BUT I would have to move countries for that job and start a new life. I’ve also been proposed a Manager position at a consulting company in my home city, with potential of bigger salary thanks to bonuses. Culture seems good... But I’m sure it’s gonna be a hell lot of work. Which one would you take? Should I exit and never look back?
Here’s a list of things to hoard this weekend! Let me know if you wanna know how to use each of these in dishes through the week - super easy WFH recipes coming up soon.

One of my friend came back from USA last month, he has done MS from there and he has 4 years of experience as a continuous improvement engineer, now he has looking for a job in India, he is going for a final round in a MNC and we are trying to find out how much salary he should ask as per his experience and profile. Any suggestion? Thanks
Has anyone ever been hired for a job you were definitely not qualified for? How did it go? I have been interviewing for a position with a higher title + different industry + different role than what I am doing today and somehow I keep moving on to the next round. Am I just imposter syndrome-ing myself or is this a bad idea?
Hello! I’m in my first year of consulting and know that an MBA is my next goal. Hoping to get grad school paid for through Deloitte, but have heard it is quite competitive. Cont..
Fucked up my math. There goes my shot at MBB 🙃
Thoughts on going from a manager in PA with 5.5 years of experience to a senior accountant at a 12.5B insurance company? I’d get about a 20% pay increase, every other Friday off, pension, etc.
Any partner willing to share with fb what their comp is? If so, please provide your service line, years as a partner and if you feel comfortable, your firm
My mom died 6 years ago. For some reason this is the hardest Mother’s Day. Previous years didn’t really affect me as much.
lol here’s something for y’all to laugh at. I checked into The Ritz at Half Moon Bay for a staycation. Turns out the city’s waters out. I should’ve stayed home...
