No matter the circumstances, at Deloitte the answer to any question starting with "is it possible to get laid off..." is yes
Possible yes. Probable no.
I'm not sure I would call "not getting along well with my manager" a silly mistake..
I'd be less worried that you made mistakes and more worried that you don't think they're a big deal (i.e. Worth improving on). 1. Wrong people invited to meetings - attention to detail is at the CORE of providing quality work. 2. Relationships are how we build business. If you can't get along with your internal team, how can the firm trust you to interact with clients or manage associates or interns in the next year or two?
Is it just being fired if it's bad performance rather than lay off?
Attending all meetings, coming to work on time, doing work "diligently," and meeting compliance requirements are your benchmarks for doing a good job on a project?
Yes.
Don't sweat it OP. Got a horrible review first project (rolled off), got a 1 on my next. Sometimes it's just not you. Sometimes it's all you. Usually it's a little of both. It'll get better :)
Depends on what caused the rating
Yes
It has to be a big problem. I've seen maybe 1 BTA who deserved it.
What according to you is a big problem ? I am staffed on a new project already ... I got bad rating due to silly mistakes like inviting wrong people to the meeting and not getting along well with my manager ... I always attended all meetings , came to work on time and did my work diligently and met all compliance requirements
Why didn't you get along with your manager? How's your relationship with the PPDs you worked with? Any BD/firm initiatives to offset your project work?
Thought you were asking it's possible to "get laid"
D10, how did you get a 1 rating on a project? 🤔
Y'all scared OP off...
