I would freak out /Ass3
Yeah tough love here, the people skills matter more after a certain level. Just work on it but at the end of the day it is the sell side, sales are king
Analyst skills =/= VP skills, figure out where youre lacking in terms of social and presentation skills
Depends on your group culture and your own capability.
To be fair I am often driving model calls with cfo and CEO but in a pitch setting rarely so
I do most of that stuff as an analyst. You should be worried and thankful that you still have a job.
I am doing all that as an AN1 going to AN2. My associate (AS2) is "driving meetings and making page creates" as you describe it. Might boil down to group culture though. Not at a BB so deal teams operate without a VP if there is an AS3 or superstar AS2
Yeah.
Feel like I'm more than ahead of the curve on product creation and technical modeling but not the vp skills i.e. Next level
Agree.
I basically am a glorified analyst and model checked. About to be Vp. Wondering where this road leass
That's because you're in a smaller boutique. Nowhere in a BB or EB does an analyst present in meetings.
