Doesn’t sound worth it
I wouldn’t count on anything more. You can ask the recruiter if there’s room to budge but if they say no then move on
No - it is very, very unlikely that someone will impress their interviewers so much that the company raises their budget for the role. That doesn’t happen. They want to get you as cheap as possible no matter how good you are. And they are paying you for the work you do, not your intv skills. Now, maybe I misunderstood - if you’re asking if they’d raise the salary because you are overqualified for the role but are still interested in the company - I’d still say no. Ask the recruiter if they have a job at the appropriate level for you before wasting your time. Best of luck.
Is 100K in the ballpark? I've had many clients who have gone into an interview that was below their level or not in their salary range. Performing well in an interview is aa good idea for two reasons. First, you need the interview practice. Secondly, there may be another position within the company that you are more qualified for and may have a higher salary. I can tell you stories… Take every interview you possibly can. We cannot know the future. Hold out for the possibility… Good luck
Be honest with the recruiter, they don’t want to waste your time any more than you do so if you tell them what you’re looking for and they can’t accommodate it will be a mutually beneficial departure
