Is it worth pursuing further education if you're already a SCM with some employment history? Make any difference to have secondary education or certs?

Does anyone have any experience transitioning to a different practice area, specifically from tax to T&E? I’m a 4th yr associate trying to make this change and finding it a bit challenging. I switched 20 days back to Optum. I have 7 years of experience working as a full stack Engineer, who is passionate working on both front end and back end on latest technologies. But my project is working only on back end with 10 years old tech stack. There is no front end work at all. What should I do?

This isn’t really an interview question but more of an on-boarding question.
Bit of background- I left my job of 3 years in Dec 2021 for a new company. Initially, I thought the company was great but my mind quickly changed. The on-boarding process was horrible, minimal training, thrown onto enterprise project 2 weeks in, over time, and there is no process for anything. I ended up hating my job.
