I am currently serving notice period and 30th sept 2022 is my LWD.
Role : Java App Support Analyst
Tech stack : Java,Linux,SQL,ITIL, Jenkins
Current CTC : 5.7LPA
I have offer from Marsh : 14.LPA fixed + 10% variable
BOA is offering 13.5 LPA Fixed+ 1.5 JB
However, BOA is giving DOJ as 7 Novemeber.
I am looking for your suggestions which one to join. Kindly help.

Normally it’s HR and the hiring manager to discuss where in the range the candidate should fall. HR is involved but i wouldn’t call it HR leadership. Most larger companies will not make one off expectations but may adjust the ranges for that job as a whole if market data shows that there is misalignment with internal ranges.
Hiring manager scopes a role, HR sets a salary band, finance approves the band. HR screens resumes, hiring manager selects candidate, if the selected candidate asks for more than the hiring manager is allowed to give, they may move on to another candidate or go to HR to see if they can flex. Ultimate decision often comes down to finance or org structure. Big companies aren’t going to let you be called “‘manager” but be paid as a “director.”
