Junior associate looking to pivot from Middle East MBB to PE in North America in 2-3 years. Region's difficult to get PE exposure in given large focus on family office type work & sovereigns. Non MBB, finishing fin/acct MBA and looking to pivot into banking/pe. 10 yrs sales prior in unrelated field. 20 yrs military. MBA is non target school since military/state funded programs are free. Here’s my take… Big Tech is about to turn into every other industry. Gone are the days of the over the top perks, huge comp packages etc. With valuations taking monster hits due to various headwinds (increased competition, regulatory pressure, consumer awareness and others), it won’t be the hot place to work for much longer.
