Is the Intelligent Investor worth a read (very long book with old English) or does it simply just say to invest in stocks you believe in and diversify your money

Is it a good idea to trade indexes like VTI and SPY short term? My logic is in the long term indexes will go up so even if I buy high, I can just hold for the long term.

My coworker, who was my friend for a long time, has been lying to me, throwing me under the bus, and taking credit for my work and ideas. Firm will file (premium processing) for my H1-b extension to support my ongoing Perm process (no I 140 yet). Once i have the extension, will I be able to switch to another firm with just the extension and no i140 ? I assume my perm will restart in new place if they agree to ? anyone has done this? I like consulting but the multiple project workload sucks. I have 5 active projects and I’m barely scraping by on each one. I’m just surviving week by week. I could do such an amazing job on these projects if I had 2-3 instead. Sucks

I currently work as an APM at a FAANG company but recently received an offer to join an MBB. I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). Considering that I currently work 40-60 hours/week, I’ll be making significantly less per hour at the MBB. I’m very interested in the opportunity but also don’t want to make a poor financial decision early in my career. Thank you for your time!
