Hi. I would appreciate any advice on this. I have been working in TCS for 3 years in Support domain. I have completed my PGP in Data Science and Business Analytics. I have been trying to get placed in Accenture. I applied last November as a referral to Accenture. However, my resume was rejected. I think it's so important to have customer support that reflects the diversity of your customers. Not only does it show that you respect and value your customers, but it also makes them feel more welcome and supported.
It just doesn't make sense. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it's also good business. Diverse customer support is key to reaching and connecting with a wider audience.
When I've interacted with customer support teams that are more reflective of the diversity of our world, it's been a completely different experience. I've felt seen and heard, and I've felt appreciated and respected. And it's led me to be a loyal customer for life. I don't understand why companies don't work toward that
I agree with having a diverse staff but I don't feel it is for the same reason, I think the ideal is that we all learn to put ourselves in other people's shoes. This is how diversity should be taken care of.
I completely agree, I do not understand how there are still companies that do not hire diverse personnel. It is unacceptable in this day and age.
It feels like there is no amount of research that will convince certain types of people to change their ways. We know the importance of treating employees well, we know the importance of diverse teams, and yet...
