It’s ick to see these 9/11 memorial posts on LinkedIn: with a before/after photo of Lower Manhattan perhaps, a paragraph on the moments of that day and then some cringe segue into some corporate sales pitch. I have seen, for example, posts such as (and I paraphrase, but not by much);

“Something something 9/11… and that’s what inspired me to be a financial crimes consultant”

“I remember watching 9/11 on TV and I then knew my calling was in L&D”

“What 9/11 taught me about B2B cloud sales”

🤢

Yes hard choice in this parade of horribles. In my opinion, a post honoring someone or the victims is perfect. There is nothing else to say.

Ok but now choose between:
“What 9/11 taught me about B2B sales”
VS
“It was an inside job!”

I got both of those on my social media feeds… and I don’t know which is worse

I wholeheartedly agree

Super weird. Those of us who lived through it (I was two blocks away) are probably too traumatized to talk about it and post about it.
That leaves other attention seeking humans to overly externalize their feelings. Annoying, but what are you gonna do in this social media obsessed culture?

A colleague told me today that Google separates Product Manager and Product Owner as two separate roles. I’m new to the cybersecurity industry, professionally speaking (I did/do a lot for family and close friends). I’ve completed a boot camp, which I regret doing. If a firm has multiple openings that you’re interested in, is it a good or bad idea to apply to more than one position? I’m a third year interested in retooling from lit to general corp, but they prefer someone with 3+ years of corporate experience. They’re also looking for an M&A with 1+ years, so it may be easier to aim for that, but I’ve heard horror stories re WLB for M&A. Would still try it out tho bc I’m desperate to leave lit, but don’t want to make a faux pas. Any insights appreciated!

This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at
Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.

I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?

Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.
