I've been asked to lead the product for a b2c company after working in tech for the last decade. My company was acquired in 2019 by the same company and now the CEO requested me to move to product saying there's lack of good tech people in Product.

Early 30s M here. Used to be really good on stage until I got a consulting job out of college.

Has anyone taken part of the education reimbursement program? I’ve been here for 4 years and I’m thinking of obtaining my Master’s in Organizational Leadership, but I feel like with this merger, if I started the program and then there are layoffs or too many new hires, or work just becomes overwhelming, I wouldn’t be able to complete my program. PM interview goes typically with current domain, design xyz for abc, guesstimate; whereas in actual job you have ‘n’ no. of constraints to build, leadership priority , sufficient time to think etc. What are your thoughts?
