I’ve been in finance my whole career, I am accepting a job for a business ops role at a healthcare company. Obviously not looking for exits now, but anybody have ideas on what business ops can lead to down the line? The role is closer to project management for special projects with the c-suite and other various projects if that helps.

I'm a Senior FA in healthcare and currently looking for Business Ops roles. Biz Ops in healthcare often lead to managerial roles for departments, health plans, overseeing physician groups/depts, recruitment and comp managers etc.

Has anyone ever left finance (or know someone that has) to do something completely different? My experience is split between FP&A and accounting and while I have progressed, I am becoming depressed b/c I feel like I’m in the wrong field. I am generally a motivated, high performing person, but I al starting to slip up and care less, b/c my work is not satisfying to me. I know I just sound like a complainer, but does anyone have any advice?

I’ve had radio silence from a small investment bank for about a week now. I’ve completed several rounds of interviews, but last Thursday the firm reposted the job I’ve been interviewing for. On Friday the headhunter said that they’re not sourcing new candidates and it’s probably just LinkedIn automatically refreshing the listing. She said they had a busy week last week but will make a final decision this week - is the delay and radio silence a bad sign or is this typical for experienced hiring?
