Hi all,
Do firms match offers from other Big 4s for campus hires? I’ve received a campus offer from both KPMG and EY. I’m more interested in the EY offer, but they are paying 3k less than KPMG.
Would it be a bad move to let them know about the other offer and try negotiating? I feel it wont make a difference in the long run, but at the same time I don’t want to leave any money on the table if possible.
Thanks!

Yes pretty difficult right now. Sounds like people are taking at least 3-4 months minimum to find something

It’s an extremely tough market at the moment so you’re definitely not alone
I just moved here from another state and it seems like the roles are all for Accounting Manager when they say AR... then the pay is quite low or very high for the manager. Where are the jobs for the years of experience In AR and Collections without knowing taxes or end month closing...its very disheartening. I should have stayed where i was and you can at least get a decent pay through an agency like Robert Half
I feel you/same here. recently resigned from my previous role as Controller but it's very difficult to land a new job. The market is very limited with fewer accounting roles and lower pay compared to the East Coast-Just want to share the responses I got from ChatGPT yesterday since I was having the same impression than you have. Good Luck in your search!
