I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

West Monroe is another one, I see them post a number of PE consulting MD roles but the comp is lower than a MM portfolio ops VP. And they're looking for someone with a book of business, with 15+ years of experience. Like why would anyone want to take on a role like that if you already have the qualifying background to get a gig somewhere that might pay 2x more, with no quota and less risky responsibilities?
Also curious what the recruitment strategy here is
Worked in B4 PE consulting, and i would say most came from non-target schools, so PMO for PE or FDD. This you dont need to be in PE before. Very few came from PEs, but were very small cap PEs and those employees were non-high performers
the thing is the B4 postings are one level under partner and West Monroe are at MD level, so you can't be completely green. It just seems like the hardest type of recruitment you can possibly do when your ideal candidates can go for another job that pays way more, has less risk of getting exited, better WLB, and not have to deal with all the non value add optics work that comes with consulting. Other than a lateral hire, this profile sounds like a unicorn lol
Sometime this due to the legal requirement to post the opportunity publically, rather than expecting an external candidate to be better equipped than an off cycle promote.
