I’ve been the only person on my team in my role since my start, am being incredibly over worked , at times to the point of burnout. I’m replying to pings late into the evening and over performing . I wished they hired more people on my team to spread the workload but at other times I hope it stays the way it is because of the autonomy my current position offers. If they do hire someone else or an MSP, I want to ask for a promotion being the most senior person there. Is this a valid ask?

What is the trajectory for sales role post sales manager or what are other career avenues I could explore with my sales experience.

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. Is genetic carrier screening prior to starting an ivf cycle necessary? I tested and found some disorders. Now my RE won’t start my cycle until my partner is tested. My wife and I just had our second child, and we have also been dealing with her cervical cancer diagnosis. It has been a stressful year, to say the least. M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.

Hey all, I’m trying to gauge wether or not my salary is appropriate for my role. Obviously I’m a sys admin, but I’m making 50k with an expected bonus of 12k per year. Does this match what you all are seeing, or do i need to be looking for a pay increase? About 3 years of experience, the first two were technically a Helpdesk role but as the sole person on the team it was essentially sys admin work
