Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

Ucla seems to have good pay from what I see on the job descriptions but kaiser only shows pay grade. Ucla has pension and a raise it seems every year. But I was alao told kaiser offers a dollar each year as a raise. I want a place I can grown and stsy Long term. Any one have any insight on kaiser and what they offered.UCLA Health Kaiser Permanente

Look into professional services firms, like accounting and such, though skip the largest firms like the Big4. They are too hard to get into as no one ever leaves those jobs. Admin jobs at my firm pay between $40k-$80k depending on where you live and they come from all types of backgrounds, you just need the software skills, which are slightly above average. You don’t need to have accounting experience to be considered; I used to hire all types of admins as long as they had a good attitude, could pass the software skills tests and an aptitude for learning. The pay is usually above average (in my area, I’m getting paid $20-40k more than what’s being advertised elsewhere). But the benefits packages are what you’re after: 100% work from home, super healthcare, dental and vision plans, all sorts of paid leaves, unlimited PTO and several paid holidays including 2 full weeks in July and December, 401k match AND age based contributions (ie, as long as I contribute something to my 401k, they will match up to a percentage and I get an additional amount based on my age; the older you are, the bigger the amount). There’s too much to mention. So even though I don’t make a ton of money, I still have enough leftover after my basic needs to put in my 401k so I get the match and other contributions. I am able to save enough for retirement this way.
Where are you located OP? There are plently of administratvie assistant roles (depending on location) that pay over 55k per year.
