I’ve had at least one moment where I thought about walking away from healthcare entirely. I stayed, but it changed how I work. What was your “almost quit” moment?

I got rejected for an interview from Big 4 NY Audit, even had referrals from Manager + level people. 3 years w/ audit senior at mid size firm, 2 years fed tax at big 4, and 1.5 years Internal Audit healthcare. Currently self employed for a year to work on investing. Do I literally need a partner level referral to get back into Audit? I thought there was an accountant shortage.

Has anyone taken up the Personal Capital investment management service that they offer?

They say they will manage my 401k but to do that they will require my credentials that I use to log into fidelity. Is that normal? Has anyone here done that before? Any feedback or experiences of using them?

Mental Health Check-in: How’s everyone doing during these dog days of summer?

I have been laid off going on 3 months now and I’ve never felt so discouraged in my life. This job hunt for me has been frustrating and draining. It really has taken a toll on my mental health and maybe even confidence. I feel like I’m losing momentum. Any advice on staying positive throughout this journey?
