I’ve had several final interviews & some of them being in-person, and I’ve been rejected from all of them. I know I shouldn’t take it personally, but it’s hard not to. The more interview processes I’m rejected from, the more I’m under pressure & get anxious. I was never this nervous prior to getting laid off. Please pray for me and my family.

About rolling off my project with no new project opportunity yet. I’m already getting anxious and can’t have a full night rest with the worry of not finding a project soon and eventually getting laid off. Although I tend to stress-out easily but this type of anxiety is different. Are others feeling the same way? Also over 90% chargeability and great reviews, but seems like that may not matter with the recent layoff stories I’ve read....

I think everyone will agree with this that in last 1-2 years we have seen a tremendous change in Indian IT industry and tremendous growth in Salaries and negotiations. Can someone explain me the factors that are triggering it even when the world markets are in huge correction phase and we are also seeing layoffs and revoked offers.

Was laid off in Sept. Unfortunately we will be seeing many more coming. It's what happens in a recession. Unfortunately I now also have my age against me. Not in a mentally good place at the moment.

Do consulting firms ever do mass layoffs right before they pay out bonuses in order to avoid paying them out? Is this a common procedure?

Wow! What a day! What type of company starts layoffs right before the holidays? Lost my job this morning and I am stressed out. Is there any chance of finding a new job before the holidays? I'm doubting it.

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

The biggest thing I keep running and running around my head- after 8 months, why did he drop me? When he texted ending it l….it wasn’t me, like we weren’t us, his words were from someone else, like I didn’t matter. I have been laid off going on 3 months now and I’ve never felt so discouraged in my life. This job hunt for me has been frustrating and draining. It really has taken a toll on my mental health and maybe even confidence. I feel like I’m losing momentum. Any advice on staying positive throughout this journey? It’s so hard to stay upbeat and motivated at times.
