I’ve have had a mix of Chase Sapphire, Marriott and Amex cards for a while - since I traveled for work. Now moving to a remote role- focusing on 2 nice international family trips a year. Is it worth moving everything to an airline miles card - getting more bang for your buck with business class upgrades? Or how should I think about my CC strategy?

No, it's worth signing up for a new card for the bonus and continuing to open new ones. x2 with your wife. Regular spend gets you nowhere unless you're a big spender.

like

Depends on the airline you are fondest of, the miles / pts per dollar rate of each card, and the categories that you typically spend on. I like the flexibility of Chase and the diversity of partners. Some airline cards will accelerate the rate you can get status on their airline, so if that’s important to you and/or if you’re flying less and need that accelerator, then I think it makes sense. Otherwise, I’d stick to something broader.

like

I do everything by % return.

Sapphire is 4.5%+ done right, but you have to use them before downgrading and it’s only good for airlines (hotels don’t honor status on 3rd party bookings). But you can do other cards like US Bank, Discover, etc. to get 2% min and 5% selected with no annual fees to boot. A hotel or airline card is only good for its intended purpose and isn’t usually as valuable, coming down to <3% with consolidated spend.

Can someone explain the difference between FB’s Partner Solutions Manager and the Strategic Partner Manager? From an initial recruiter call, it seems the SPM provides the consultative product recs while the PSM onboards the client onto that product and tracks performance to provide actionable recs as needed. Anyone know career growth and salary for these two? I don’t want a sales heavy/only lateral growth role like their client solutions manager roles so these seem like good compromises?

hi fishes,

does anyone have the consulting corporate travel policy of their big 4 firm handy? can you please share? i want to switch from EY to others and looking for where I can be at more comfort with the extensive travel.

When you recruiters say at the end of a 15 min call.
“I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve did these calls with 3 recruiters and is yet to hear back from someone. Today would be the 4th recruiter that I’ve spoken to. Does this practice annoy you guys just as much as it does us? My dream career is to be a technical recruiter but this whole thing is discouraging.
