Hello fishes🐠. Can anybody guide me on the dress code followed in the BlackRock London office? Will be joining soon and want to ensure I dress appropriately (My current workplace is very casual, people wear jeans and sneakers). For context, a woman joining in a role that is not client facing, not portfolio manager. Thanks in advance.

@ds1 fair point and it can definitely be the right move, but saying you won’t settle for mediocrity makes it sound like you’re badmouthing your last gig which is up there with saying your previous manager was insufferable, etc etc blaming external factors
If you have the money to hold you over, confidence that you’ll find something quickly, and a very good reason for quitting instead of continuing to work, then it can work out. Just know that it’s going to be in the back of most interviewers’ minds that you have a gap (even if it’s small)
I quit. Best decision I ever made, the new job is so much better.
How much savings do you have? If you have enough to last you 6 months without breaking a sweat, just walk. If an interviewer asks why the gap, say that you won’t settle for mediocrity.
