Waiting for BCG R1 results…. 😕
McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

I think it varies across samples more widely than across the firms. As much as they try to be different etc. etc. - they’re more alike tbh
Each firm has 1000s of employees. Not everyone will be alike. Your statement is based on limited interactions and shouldn’t be extrapolated to the entire firm.
From what I can tell all MBB people are social and can talk well, Mck people tend to be more straight forward and give closest to banker vibes at times, BCG people seem like more geeky, nerdy but social types. Bain peeps tend to be more like super smart 4.0 frat bros is the vibe I get from them. However, all are nice and smart or you can find the nice ones at each firm

I actually totally agree with this assessment from my sample of 20ish friends at MBB
So basically BCG gave you the referral while the other two brushed you off with some talk
All three gave me the referral haha but BCG people just seem more bubble / smiley
I had a great impression of BCG going into consulting, but now that I'm here and have friends at all the firms, I am 110% confident that BCG's friendly face is a facade. All of my cross offered friends that didn't come to Bain (literally, all of them) have told me that they regretted their decision and wish they had come to Bain instead.

The people I went to school with at my target who ended up at each firm fit the stereotypes generally. Especially the McK kids - they were the most type A and most intense about their careers.
I like the PE work they do at Bain but not into the frat bro vibez
Bro, I remember playing flip cup with my Bain class while yelling “not a frat! Not a frat!”.
... to be fair it’s not a frat bro vibe at work, but compared to McK or BCG, we’re certainly uh... less uptight is how I would put it. :)
