Anyone at MBB looking to make a referral?
So I just recently passed my CPA exams and I’m now looking for new opportunities. I’m hoping to work at a big 4 firm in tax and possibly connect with anyone working there right now. Please reach out to me, I would look forward to connecting and learning more about potential opportunities. Thanks!EY PwC Deloitte KPMG
Bain & Company I’m from Italy and will start my master’s degree at Oxbridge this fall. I got my undergrad from a target uni in continental Europe. I want to start my career in consulting, possibly MBB, in London. I know consulting firms tend to hire locally but I’d really like to work in London and that’s also one of the main reasons why I went for the Oxbridge degree. Anyone, who might have some tips, or went through a similar experience? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company
Could anyone kindly tell me about the Investment Management and Private Equity Audit Group at Deloitte? 1. Work Life Balance (Is it worst than the ordinary Big 4 WLB?) 2. Is it an entirely different audit from commercial/retail audits (think account balances etc.) 3. Difficult to learn how to audit clients in this industry without prior experience in the industry?(been doing commercial audits for 3 years) 4. Are there relatively good exit opportunities for this audit group? Deloitte PwC EY

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Hello! Anyone work at GE Healthcare?
Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.
https://ergochair.co/collections/chairs/products/ergonomics-mesh-chair-w-adjustable-headrest-and-armrest?variant=32511617597491
My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

Plenty of Ivy / M7 at EY Parthenon. I recruit at an Ivy and my sense is the people we get are ones who didn’t get MBB offers.
Used to recruit a different M7 when in MBB and the candidates don’t really feel all that different TBH.
As a vet I recruit vets, so maybe that’s a factor.
Decent amount here; I’d say ~10-15%. They’re mainly people who wanted to do consulting but didn’t get the MBB offer. They’re either low gpa but smart (couldn’t pass the gpa bar to get an interview at MBB) or high gpa but not case polished (got rejected in the MBB interview stage). Most leave after 2 years for greener pastures because their undergrad school gives them a big boost in job searching relative to their non-Ivy peers.
I’m not quoting any database. This is just my personal experience and estimates.
There are quite a few Ivy/etc at EY within FSO, myself included. Joined as an experienced hire since I never considered consulting as a career path coming out of school and didn’t interview for it. I was never drawn to strategy consulting since I wanted to build tangible things and didn’t know implementation consulting was a thing. It’s a mixed bag school-wise here - for example, around a quarter of my broader project team went to Ivy/etc, another quarter excellent but next tier schools (Georgetown/ND/etc), another quarter state schools, then the remainder places you’ve never heard of. Haven’t really noticed any correlation between school and performance so far.
I’ve only encountered people from Cornell and Penn. Advisory.
