Just downloaded an App called MenoLife. It’s free (so far) and is filled with articles, recipes, trackers, etc. they also have products which I may look into. Anyone else try this brand?

Comforting others:
When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Or just chill out? I just feel very confused. Are a lot of full time jobs like this?

Okay — diets & weight loss. What have you seen that actually works? I exercise almost daily but realize my portions and food intake aren’t perfect. I do not want to track cals or macros as that caused me to have an eating disorder. I have an OCD personality.

I’m curious how long people were in the peri menopause phase? I’ve read it’s an average of 4 years but I’m curious what people’s experiences are. I believe I am late stage peri menopausal and my periods have been very irregular for the past 9 months ranging 13-60 days between periods. If anyone has any studies you could point me to, I’d love to see those as well! I’m 40 and my mom entered menopause at 41.

Thank you for starting this bowl! I just turned 50. I had my one and only child at 41 and went straight into menopause. My symptoms were perhaps confused with postbpatrum and nursing hormone symptoms but bow my hair is dry and frizzy yet somehow also oily and my skin lacks luster and I gain weight so easily. Working from home for eight months has definitely hanged my body shape and not for the better!

Does menopause cause eczema? I think this is what it is as I’ve never had it? But red blotches on my legs is the culprit.

It’s in the middle of the night so the perfect opportunity to share my story. I was diagnosed with MSH6 Lynch Syndrome in 2017. In order to be proactive I decided to get a full hysterectomy 3 years ago. Because of this I was forced into surgical menopause. I started on Estradiol patches for awhile then moved to a topical cream now am on the pills. Initially Premarin but due to increasing prices I’m back on Estradiol. I don’t sleep very well, still get hot flashes, and experience highs & lows.

I keep forgetting to ask about this but I noticed ever since my hysterectomy years ago I have arthritis (I think) in my fingers. Basically I can’t open things that I easily could before like jars, caps, and even ziploc bags. Has anyone else experienced this? Basically your hands and fingers feeling weaker, numb, painful or just not working? Any way to combat this? TIA 🐟

I run 3x per week and started having left knee pain. Got an X-ray and it turns out I have mild arthritis in both knees. Has anyone else been diagnosed? What are your remedies? I got an inflammatory and hope it provides some relief!

Ladies at what age did you decide to allow your hair be natural? As far as color, style, etc? What was your reasoning to stop dying it either on your own or having it done professionally? I think I’m slowly getting to the point of seeing how I look with grays. I’ve dyed my hair for over 20 years. When the pandemic hit I started using Overtone at home. I don’t know if it’s bad I’m caring less about my appearance.
